Seroba Announces Its investment in Ryme Medical as Part of Series A Financing

Seroba, a European life sciences venture capital firm headquartered in Dublin, with offices in Paris and Milan, is pleased to announce the addition of Ryme Medical to its portfolio of medtech investments, following the completion of a Series A financing. The funds will be used to reach clinical and regulatory milestones for Ryme’s cutting-edge technology.
Investing from its fourth fund, Seroba is part of a consortium of U.S. investors including Santé and Epidarex.
Ryme Medical is addressing the critical and unmet need for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which affects over 320 million people globally and ranks as the third-leading cause of death worldwide. In the United States alone, more than $50 billion is spent annually on COPD treatment. This debilitating condition, characterized by chronic inflammation of the lung airways, results in airflow obstruction and breathing difficulties, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Ryme Medical’s innovative catheter-based therapy is designed to improve symptoms and enhance long-term outcomes for patients suffering from COPD.
